Description
Aptamil Pepti-Junior Infant Milk Powder For Dietary Management Of Allergy is an extensively hydrolysed formula for the treatment of mild to moderate cases of cow's milk protein allergy and food malabsorption. Aptamil Pepti-Junior is a food for special medical purposes for the dietary management of infants with malabsorption related conditions in which the digestive and absorptive functions of the gastrointestinal tract are impaired. Aptamil Pepti-Junior is made with hydrolyzed milk whey protein to make digestion easier for babies who have this food allergy. Aptamil Pepti-Junior Milk Formula is made with cow's milk and is not the same as lactose-free baby formula, but the proteins are extensively hydrolyzed or broken down making them less likely to cause an allergic reaction in babies with cow milk allergies. It contains 50% of the fat as medium chain triglycerides (MCT) and the carbohydrate as glucose syrup to promote digestion and absorption. It is a nutritionally complete formula, suitable from birth, and can also be used to replace cow's milk in drinks and cooked dishes with the introduction of weaning. Aptamil Pepti Junior is suitable as a sole source of nutrition for infants and as a principal source of nourishment, with other foods, for infants upto 12 months of age. Due to the formulation of Aptamil Pepti-Junior you may notice that your baby's stools become looser and greener in colour. For use under medical supervision only.

HOW TO USE
- To prepare: Wash hands and sterilise all utensils. Boil fresh water. Leave to cool in kettle for 30 min. Measure the required amount of water (refer to product feeding guide) into a sterilized bottle. Do not use repeatedly boiled water. Always use the scoop provided. Level off the powder with the back of a knife. Do not press extra powder into the scoop. Add the correct measure of powder to the water. Adding too many or too few scoops can be harmful to your baby. Cap the bottle and shake well (for 10 seconds) to dissolve the powder. Remove the seal and replace with sterilized teat. Check temperature on your wrist before feeding (37.5 degree Celsius)
- IMPORANT: Breastfeeding is best for babies and a healthy diet / maternal nutrition is important when breastfeeding. A decision not to Breastfeed can be difficult to reverse. Infant formula is suitable from birth when babies are not breastfed. It is recommended that all formula milks be used on the advice of a doctor. All preparation and feeding instructions should be followed carefully as inappropriate preparation could lead to health hazards.
- Storage: Should be stored in a cool, dry place; do not refrigerate, and use contents within four weeks of opening. For hygiene reasons, do not store made up feeds, discard unfinished feeds as soon as possible, and always within 2 hours.
