Description
Olfen 50 lactab film coated tablets contains diclofenac sodium 50mg. It belongs to the class of Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs). They have anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-rheumatic properties which help to reduce pain and swelling associated with joint and muscle. Olfen lactabs tablets is used for rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, pain, migraine, dysmenorrhea, muscle aches, acute gout, inflammation, renal colic, tendinitis, backaches, dental pain, menstrual cramps, bursitis. Olfen 50 mg lactabs are film coated gastro-resistant tablets prevents from gastric irritability or to make it easier to swallow. Olfen 50 works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase-1 and -2, the enzymes that are responsible for production of a prostaglandin; (PG) G2, which is the precursor to other prostaglandins. These molecules have broad actions in the mechanism of pain and inflammation and the inhibition of production of these prostaglandins by diclofenac results in cure from inflammation and pain.

HOW TO USE
Use as prescribed by your Physician only
Take olfen 50mg film coated tablet by mouth. Swallow the tablet whole with or after food with water in divided doses
Do not crush, chew or suck the tablets. Chewing them would destroy the coating
Recommended for adults and adolescents above 14 years of age
General dosage: The recommended starting dose is 100 mg to 150 mg each day
Do not exceed more than 150mg per day or as directed
