NewGel+UV Advanced Medical-Grade Silicone Scar Gel is a chemical-free mineral sunscreen, with a specialized blend of medical grade silicones to protect new scars while it works to flatten, soften and fade them. NewGel+UV Advanced Medical-Grade Silicone Scar Gel is the first and only silicone gel with Zinc Oxide mineral sunscreen to help reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation of a scar due to UV exposure. Zinc Oxide is a broad-spectrum mineral sunscreen that stays on the surface of the skin and does not penetrate the fragile scar tissue as chemical sunscreens do. It is gentle and non-irritating, even on sensitive skin. Zinc Oxide is also known to be anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and soothing skin protectant. This product is ideal for scars in exposed areas such as faces, arms, and hands. NewGel+UV dries to form a thin, flexible, waterproof layer on the skin. It creates a protective barrier with the ideal environment to manage and reduce scarring.

HOW TO USE
- Begin using NewGel+UV Advanced Medical-Grade Silicone Scar Gel when scar is closed and/or sutures have been removed. Do not use on any open wound.
- Wash and dry the scar area then apply a thin layer of NewGel+UV to the scar and gently massage.
- It is important to apply the gel at least twice a day, morning and night, especially prior to sun exposure. Use for 3 months on new scars. Older scars may take up to 6 months.
- NewGel+UV can be used exclusively for the full course of treatment or alternated with other NewGel+ products.
- Do not use NewGel+UV under NewGel+ Silicone Gel Sheeting or it will cause the sheeting to lose adhesiveness. Use NewGel+UV during the day and alternate with the sheeting at night if desired.
